Considered the easiest Asian language to learn, Korean is quickly becoming the most widely learned second language amongst young people. Growing business opportunities in Korea and the widespread popularity of Korean dramas and music makes this language an excellent choice for business, education, travel, and pleasure. With close links to Japanese and Chinese cultures and languages, learning Korean can make the journey to becoming a polyglot all the easier.
Sydney is one of Australia’s major cities, with a vibrant multicultural scene. In fact, the 2016 census shows that Sydney’s population is extremely diverse, with almost 4 out of every 10 Sydneysiders born overseas. This statistic is about 10% greater than the national average! Consequently, Sydneys’ cultural landscape has been shaped by the many different artistic, ethnic, linguistic and religious communities throughout the city; the result of waves of immigration from over 180 nationalities over a period of more than 200 years. For example, Italians have been making a contribution to the Australian way of life ever since the 1950s gold rush, which brought large numbers of migrants to the shores of Eastern Australia in search of wealth, work and opportunity. Meanwhile, Chinese people have made the city their home in such high numbers as to create their own Chinatown in central Sydney, which is full of Chinese restaurants and themed shops.
Just take a stroll around the city and you will hear more than 250 languages spoken on the streets: matching the aforementioned statistic regarding national diversity in the city, Statistics Australia reported in 2015 that nearly 40% of Sydneysiders speak a language other than English at home. And while Arabic is the most common non-English language in the western suburbs, Asian languages, such as Mandarin and Cantonese, are the predominant tongues spoken by native speakers in the northern parts of the city. Connect with these communities on a whole new level and access new social and cultural opportunities by enrolling in a foreign language course in Sydney. At Language Trainers, we specialise in designing tailor-made lessons that suit our learners’ needs and abilities, so do not hesitate to get in touch with us as soon as you are ready to get started!
Our general one-on-one courses in Sydney will help students improve their Korean level quickly and efficiently, whatever their needs. The fact that we offer our Korean classes on a One-on-One basis means that you can learn the words and phrases you need in a comfortable and relaxed environment.
Our Korean courses in Sydney are taught on a one-on-one basis and will help you improve your business communication skills immensely. No matter what level you begin at we will soon have you dealing with business introductions comfortably before moving onto other matters. Beginner level students can expect to finish the course with basic telephone Korean and email skills, as well as a level of survival Spanish, granting them the ability to work in a country where Korean is the native tongue.
Our Korean courses are also available for small groups studying together (Two-to-One Korean Course or In-Company Small Group Spanish Course). All participants must have the same language needs, be able to study at the same time at the same place and be at the same level. All participants should be booked at the same time. Language Trainers suggest that you do not look for classes with more than 8 students at one time. However, an In-Company Taster Korean Course can contain a maximum of 12 people.
